We definitely went out in style at the end of 2018! Anthony has a top secret mission for wife to be Ariane. He had booked Doris and Dusty as VW campervan wedding cars for their big day and had Doris booked for VW photobooth actio for their evening entertainment.

We collected Ariane and the bridal party from the beautiful venue that is Charnock Farm, Leyland. We made our journey in convoy to St Mary’s Church Lea for the ceremony and headed back to Charnock Farm for the celebrations to continue.

After the wedding breakfast, Doris was parked up outside and kitted out ready for her camperbooth duties. As usual, we all had way too much fun and the evening absolutely flew by.

Celebrations at Samlesbury Hall

We had 4 seasons in one day for Nikki and Martin’s wedding but the sun shone when we needed it to!

The bridal party were collected from Forest View Holiday Park and chauffeured to Christ Church, Douglas in Parbold for the ceremony. Navy blue was the accent colour and Doris looked stunning as she matched the bridesmaids, dressed with navy blue ribbons.

After the ceremony, glass of fizz in hand, Nikki and Martin settled in Doris for the next leg of their journey. As it turns out, there was a nasty hold up on the M6 and our journey to Salmesbury Hall was set to take nearly 2 hours! A bit of quick thinking from Doris and myself and a quick check on the map and we took a leisurely journey on the A roads, breezing up in just over 30 minutes.

As usual, Salmesbury Hall looked stunning and the wonderful staff were waiting at the door to give our bride and groom a well deserved, warm welcome.

Make a week of it and take a road trip to the Yorkshire Dales, the Peak District, Northumberland or the Scottish Borders. Our classic VW camper vans are a perfect way of taking in the sights in comfort – and style!

Skippy has an elevating roof, 240v and 12v electrics, a cooker, sink, cool box and a table, deck chairs and folding kitchen unit and cutlery and crockery for 4 people. We ask that you respect Skippy’s age and cover no more than an average of 70 miles per day.
