Vinny’s Bar is back, with a difference! Whilst we can’t go out to party then let’s bring the party to us. Instead of catering for large scale wedding and events, we have put together a home events package just to make life at home a little more exciting…
We have a mobile campervans or beetle bars available for you to hire at home and serve your drinks in style! Fancy a little luxury? Then add our hot tub package too. Complete with gazebo, fairy lights, artificial grass and a towel hanger.
Don’t let the fun end there.. add an Ooni pizza oven or outdoor film projector and screen and make a real event out of staying at home.

Perfect for birthday treats, anniversaries or just because it’s lockdown and we deserve to spoil ourselves. Contact us for availability and information on various packages.

COVID19 – Spring and Summer 2020… as our campervans can’t undertake any exciting road trips at the moment, we have launched a package where we bring the VW campervan to you.

‘Driveway Dreams’ new from Chase the Sun.. Now that staying in is the new going out, why not hire a Classic VW Campervan for your own driveway VW staycation?!
Hello, we are Chase the Sun and we are a Preston based company, hiring out classic VW campervans.
With ‘Driveway Dreams’, we bring the campervan to you, park it up and leave you to overnight camp in it and enjoy the VW experience from the safety of your own front or driveway.
Special introductory offer is £75 for a standard overnight hire. Special birthday, anniversary and treat packages are available, please ask for details.

Standard overnight hire, from 2pm to 11am the following morning, is £75 for delivery within 5 miles from our base in Fulwood, Preston. Campervans sleep 2 people.We drop off and collect the VW campervan, fully complying to current social distancing rules. All campervans are fully disinfected before hire (handles, surfaces etc.)
Standard hire is the VW campervan only. Deluxe hire is the campervan, table and deckchairs, canopy, grass carpeting and fairy lights.
Birthday, anniversary and special treat packages also available, ask for details! Payment is via bank transfer, card or Paypal. Security bond is £100, refundable when the campervan is collected.

Matty and Jenny get hitched at the Brewery! October 2019

Another wedding where it really didn’t feel like work at all… I’m lucky to have the job I do. I’m lucky to be able to work with cars I have loved since I was a child. I’m lucky to visit amazing venues each week and be a part of so many peoples special day.

Today Jenny and Matty got married.

Bettina beetle and Doris our VW campervan collected the bridal party from home to make our way to the breathtaking Ashton Memorial. We have covered countless weddings here and we NEVER get bored of returning! Dressed in lilac ribbons, our classic VWs complimented the bridesmaids dresses perfectly and their mega cool Doc Marten boots. Yes, you read that correctly; the bridesmaids all wore sparkly Doc Marten boots. How cool is that??!

We made a convoy to the Memorial, another venue there the service is always excellent. Whilst the ceremony took place, I took the opportunity to take in the views… it was a clear day and Morecambe Bay was clearly visible.

After the ceremony and making the most of Williamson Park’s grounds for photographs, we made the journey down the winding hill through the park to Lancaster Brewery. It was a crisp, sunny day and perfect weather for having the convertible roof down. Jenny and Matty sipped champagne whilst waving to well wishers through the park. Perfection.

A few more photographs outside the Brewery and we left the newly weds to continue with their celebrations.

Hannah and Rob say ‘Yes!” – September 2019

Oh we had the best time ever with these guys! Hannah and Rob chose Doris VW campervan and Bettina beetle for their barn styled wedding at the end of last Summer.

The bridal party were collected from Lancaster and we made a classic VW convoy to Park House Barn in Milnthorpe. The bridal party were a joy to chauffeur and the groomsmen were absolute gents.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed being photographed with our stunning VWs.. we actutally didn’t want to leave!

This was our first time at Park House Barn and I would highly recommend both the venue and the superb staff who work there. Thank you for looking after us!

Heather and Rhys – August 2019

We are blessed to have such beautiful countryside on our doorstep and today we got to drive in it! Heather and Rhys chose Dusty and Bettina for their wedding cars as we were delighted to oblige!

Dusty, our 1973 microbus deluxe campervan and Bettina, our 1974 Karmann convertible beetle looked stunning in ribbons and and bunting as they made their way through the Ribble Valley in Lancashire on a beautiful sunny day.

Dusty took the bridal party and Bettina took our bride Heather and her dad to St. John’s Church, Padiham for the ceremony. After the happy couple took their vows, we has a bottle of chilled fizz waiting for them to enjoy during their journey to the Inn at Whitewell for the reception. Our classic VWs look amazing in convoy and today was no exception.

The Inn at Whitewell provided the breathtaking background for the wedding photographs and group shots, before Dusty, Bettina and I left everyone to continue their celebrations in the sun.

I do love a wedding but I absolutely love it even more when a couples 4 legged friends comes along too! Jade and Jonathan had Todd, their springer spaniel join in with the celebrations and what a day it was!
Our beautiful VW split screen Doris and I collected Jade and her bridal party from Widnes and escorted them to the ceremony at St. Mary’s Church, Hale, Liverpool. The fizz was on ice and as soon as the happy couple said ‘I do’, they were served with a glass and they made their first journey as husband and wife to the stunning Cherry Orchard Lake, hosted by the amazing Delamere events for a full on festival style wedding.

Thank you both for sharing your day with Doris and I… and Todd is the best wedding guest : )

Heather and Phill tie the knot in Preston – July 2019

It’s always lovely to cover a local wedding and Heather and Phill’s was no different. As a surprise, Heather arranged for Bettina beetle and myself to collect Phill the groom and his best man from Lytham to drive him in style to his wedding. Phill’s face was a picture when we arrived outside and then cruised along Lytham front taking in the sights.

We had the gents arrive in good time at Preston Registry Office for meeting and greeting of their guests before Heather and her bridal party arrived in our beautiful campervan Dusty. Dressed in turquoise ribbons, Dusty’s colour complimented the bridesmaids dresses perfectly.

After the ‘I do’ at the registry office, our classic VWs formed a convoy and made our way to Barton Grange Hotel in Garstang for the celebrations to continue. We remained with the happy couple for photographs before leaving them to enjoy quality time with family and friends.

It was a wonderful day for Zoe and Simon as they married in the beautiful St. Peters’ Church in Heysham, Lancashire. Dusty had the joy of collecting our bride Zoe from her home in Silverdale and making the most scenic journey along the coast, through Morecambe to Heysham.
After the ceremony Zoe and her new husband Simon made their way back up the coastline for their reception, stopping with a photograph with Eric along the way.
Thank you for having Dusty and I share your day, it was a real pleasure.
